Would you like a sneak peek inside a top hotel kitchen? Lakeside Hotel & Spa’s upcoming ‘Taste by Lakeside’ event will combine just that with a sumptuous six-course tasting menu.
The special foodie evening on Friday 15 June 2018 will offer diners a rare ‘behind the scenes’ look at how delicious dining delights are prepared, with a unique insight into an array of ingredients and food combinations.
They’ll also enjoy a six-course tasting menu created by Head Chef Richard Booth, one of the judges at the recent 2018 Young Chef of the Year competition and a former protégé of Michelin-starred establishments including Le Manoir and Paris House.
Richard Booth, says, “Eating is all about the full experience. Understanding where ingredients come from and how food is prepared has never been more important, and of course, tasting the finished dishes is a very special thing.
“We want to give our guests an authentic Lake District dining experience, transforming fresh, natural ingredients into flavoursome, memorable menus they can savour.”
The tasting menu will include tempting dishes such as:
- Asparagus, pickled onions, brown butter aerated hollandaise, hen of the woods.
- Pork belly, celeriac, celery broth.
- Scallop, granny smith, kohlrabi sauerkraut
- Lamb loin, wild garlic gnocchi, girolle, sour cream
- Richard’s special white chocolate and raspberry
- Blackcurrant souffle, liquorice ice cream
