About us

The Lake District Hotels Association represents some of the finest and largest independent and branded properties in Cumbria.

From North Lakes to South Lakes our members run some of the biggest hospitality businesses in the Lakes and have a direct and indirect economic impact of £459 million. This helps to support and sustain 8,500 jobs across the County and further afield. Collectively the Association's hotels offer 2,183 bedrooms a night (thats nearly 800,000 a year). We employ 2,038 people, spend £40 million a year on local goods and services and invest £9 million on capital expenditure programmes. Members contribute in excess of £4.1 million in Business Rates alone. The LDHA works with many partners in tourism such as tourist attractions, local colleges and public sector bodies.
