Briery Wood Country House Hotel, in Windermere, is delighted to announce it has been awarded AA 4 star status. Part of the Lake District Country Hotels Group, Briery Wood joins its sister hotels Merewood and Cragwood who also hold 4 star status.

The hotel has recently undergone major refurbishment. All the downstairs public rooms have been updated to give them a modern, contemporary look as have many of the bedrooms.

The AA inspector commended the hotel for its food, describing the menu well thought out and imaginative. He also praised the high standards of hospitality, describing the team as cheerful and proactive.
