200 Miles of Hope celebrates in Penrith

Penrith’s George Hotel will stage a big celebration next Thursday (April 16) when a 200 mile charity trek is completed.

Teams of walkers and cyclists who work for the Everbright Hotels group are tackling the “200 miles of Hope” route from Llandudno in North Wales to the North Lakes to raise money for Breast Cancer Now. And Catalin Oenea, group regional manager for Everbright Hotels, will be walking the last section from Kendal to Penrith.

Tickets are available for anyone who wants to join in the celebrations, and to congratulate the exhausted walkers and cyclists, for an evening of live entertainment with a buffet – and a glass of fizz.

Said Catalin: “Following our 10-day walking and cycling challenge—covering nearly 200 miles from Llandudno to Penrith—this event marks the culmination of a journey built on teamwork, community spirit, and purpose. As our teams cross the finish line at The George Hotel, Penrith, we invite you to be part of the celebration and help us continue making a meaningful difference.

“This evening will bring together colleagues, guests, and the wider community to recognise this milestone achievement while supporting a cause that impacts so many lives. Together, let’s raise a glass, honour the journey, and support vital breast cancer research.”
