Our lovely member Cragwood Country House Hotel in Windermere has been voted ‘Wedding Venue of the Year’ at the Cumbria Tourism Awards 2019 which was held on Wednesday 19th June. Now in its 17th year, the evening celebrated the very best of Cumbria’s tourism industry with almost 400 hundred guests attending the black-tie event at Cartmel racecourse.

The victory recognises Cragwood as the top wedding venue in Cumbria. A delighted Hotel Manager Albert Waldon commented “We are thrilled to have won this prestigious award, Cragwood is a unique and incredible place, which is largely down to our amazing team. They are passionate and dedicated and give their all to ensure our wedding couples have the day they dreamed of and more”.

A team of industry specialists had the task of whittling down a record-breaking number of entries, using their expertise to select 47 finalists across different categories. Cragwood set itself apart from its competitors with its lake shore location, all-inclusive wedding packages, 20 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland, making it the perfect setting for a truly memorable day.
