But the core message of the Lakes-based team remains the same: Go explore.
Built on more than 50 years of guiding visitors through some of the UK’s most remarkable landscapes, they aim to stay true to what Mountain Goat does best: connecting people with the places, stories, and heritage that make each journey unforgettable.
Following a record-breaking year, Mountain Goat has reimagined its digital experience with help from local company, Two Stories, to better serve today’s traveller. The new website offers a seamless, mobile-first booking journey, making it easier than ever to plan your next escape. So you can spend less time searching, and more time looking forward to what’s ahead.
By popular demand, the full-day Hadrian’s Wall and Northumberland tour returns for 2026. Departing from Windermere and Keswick, this journey travels to the edge of the Roman Empire, with guided stops at Vindolanda and some of the most dramatic stretches of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
New for this season, Mountain Goat ventures east with a North York Moors afternoon tour from York. Timed to capture the changing light across the heather-clad landscape, the experience weaves through historic villages such as Goathland and Helmsley revealing a quieter, more atmospheric side of the region.
Every journey continues to be led by knowledgeable driver-guides and travelled in small groups, in luxury vehicles designed to reach the narrow lanes and hidden corners that others can’t.
"It’s this thoughtful, immersive, and responsible approach that allows guests to go beyond the guidebook, supporting local communities while experiencing the UK in a more meaningful way," says Asia Connor, Sales and Marketing Manager at Mountain Goat.
“Our investment in a new website and refreshed brand identity reflects how traveller expectations continue to evolve. We’ve focused on enhancing the end-to-end experience from a more intuitive path to purchase through our new website, to a rebrand that marks an exciting new chapter for Mountain Goat, bringing together our heritage and experience with a more modern, forward-looking approach as we continue to grow and improve.
"At its heart, Mountain Goat believes travel should feel effortless, enriching, and deeply memorable. With a new look and new ways to explore, the core message remains: Go explore."
