This competition has become an annual tradition celebrating the Real Lake District. We want to showcase the passions, lives, and adventures of residents and visitors alike. We’re searching for those authentic shots, adventures gone array, majestic birds soaring above the Lakes, delicious Cumbrian cuisine, a luxury weekend lounging in a spa, the list goes on.

Our home is so full of life, love, and luxury, and everything in between. Not every moment can be expertly captured in a single frame, which is why we’re now welcoming video entries. We are hoping that by inviting 30-60 second clips you’ll be able to capture life on the move, the rolling fells, the morning fog lifting off the lake, and so much more.

For photo submissions, we have five categories: adventure, culture, family, food and drink, and relaxation. You can find descriptions for each on our entry submission page. Of course, the way we’ve described each category is purely to give you ideas. You’re able to submit one file per category and you choose which best describes your entry.

Entries will close on the 6th March 2020. From there, our panel of judges will select their favourite from each category. Six categories means they’ll be 6 lucky winners who will be able to choose a one night stay and a day-trip to a tourist attraction from our pool of over 50 members. Once the final six are chosen, we’ll host a public vote to crown one person victorious.
