What’s Happening This Spring?

Ah Spring, a time of sunshine, celebration, and coming together. As the Spring Equinox approaches, we’re crawling out of hibernation and getting back into experiencing all the world has to offer. With beauty and fun around every corner, there’s so much to do and see in the Lake District! Here’s just a few things happening this Spring.

Brockhole on Windermere | Creative Workshops

Starting the 24th February, Brockhole is once again hosting a myriad of creative workshops for adults. No matter your skill set, they’re inviting you to begin your journey down a creative path, discover a new hobby, or just relieve some stress. Whether local or just visiting, these workshops are a fantastic opportunity to dabble in a new art.

The line-up of classes carries creatives through to July, with classic classes like ‘Linocut Printmaking’ and ‘Glass Mosaic’, while new workshops introduce a Spring twist; ‘Botanical Wall Hanging’, ‘Spring Felt Flowers’, and ‘Eco printing – The Wonder of Plants’ bring botany into Brockhole with felt, flowers, natural dyes, and organic materials.

Prices start from £20 per workshop, which covers all materials, equipment, and parking. Some classes last an afternoon, while others last a full day. Dates, times, and prices can all be found on the #reallakedistrict app. Bookmark your favourite workshops, keep updated on any changes, and book online!
