One of our favourite seasons to explore The Lake District is Winter. The area is simply stunning at this time of year.. Snow capped mountains, crisp morning air and clear blue skies.. It’s just gorgeous don’t you think?

Honister Slate Mine
Perfect for Winter weather, ‘Climb the Mine’ at Honister follows the route of the original underground mine workings. Whinlatter Forest
Alongside its myriad of adventurous activities for for all ages, Whinlatter Forest is one of the most beautiful places to visit in The Lake District. Known for its stunning natural beauty, the area is now a Red Squirrel reserve. A must visit.
