Lindeth Howe is a country house hotel with a unique history, being the only hotel once owned by Beatrix Potter. Beatrix Potter enjoyed many holidays at Lindeth Howe and whilst staying here she was inspired to write and illustrate two of her books, Timmy Tiptoes in 1911 and Pigling Bland in 1913.
