The 4-star Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa enjoys one of the most spectacular settings in the Lake District, located in the pretty Borrowdale Valley, just off the shores of Derwentwater Lake, with its very own onsite waterfall.
When staying with us, guests can choose to stay in one of the 73 bedrooms in the main hotel, or one of the 14 spa suites in the new spa building, which feature Scandi-style decor and designer furniture, luxury bathrooms and cosy lounge seating areas.
Throughout the day, coffee, lunches, light bites and afternoon tea can be enjoyed in the comfortable lounges, conservatory, Lake View bar and restaurant, as well on the outdoor terrace. For those guests that wish to bring their four-legged friend, we have a dedicated dog-friendly library lounge area.
In the evening we offer a choice of the region’s finest cuisine served in the elegant 2 AA rosette Lake View restaurant, or guests can sample the flavours of the Far East in our pan-Asian restaurant Mizu, which serves a variety of authentic Asian inspired dishes. Translated as falling water from its Japanese roots, Mizu is a light-flooded contemporary space with open kitchen and outdoor riverside terraces with views of the spectacular Falls waterfall.
The Falls Spa, named after the famous Lodore Falls waterfall which flows behind the hotel, offers a truly unique wellness experience amidst the stunning natural surroundings of the Lake District. Relaxation, health and tranquillity are the ethos of the spa and we want our guests to fully luxuriate in our facilities.
The highlight is the 16-metre outdoor infinity edge vitality pool, one of the largest in the country complete with neck jets and underwater loungers - arguably the most Instagrammable location in the Lake District! The Falls Spa also boasts a glass-fronted Finnish sauna, four-person mud rasul, ice fountain, and thermal suite which offer 12 different heat experiences, including a laconium, salt steam room and herbal sauna. While our Champagne bar offers the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy panoramic views of the lakes and mountains.
