The Newby Bridge Hotel overlooks the southern tip of Windermere and is set in beautifully landscaped grounds. Having been recently refurbished and extended, an even higher quality of accommodation is now offered at our hotel. We now have 45 en suite bedrooms, including 11 superior and family rooms and our Grecian-style luxury Rotunda.

The design of our spectacular Rotunda was inspired by a ruined ‘Temple of Vesta’ on a private island in Morecambe Bay. Its classical good looks include Corinthian columns, a circular skylight and trompe l’oeil work, with hidden fingertip technology. It’s the perfect wedding utopia, with the Victorian Avery garden nearby which was relocated from the Chelsea Flower Show.

We are a brilliantly convenient base to explore the Furness peninsula and Southern Lakeland areas and a hairbreadth away from popular Lake District attractions, such as the Lakeside and Haverthwaite railway, the Lakes Aquarium and Lakeside Pier, the southern end of Lake Windermere.

Also open to non-residents, our newly refurbished Garden View Restaurant, overlooking the glorious Mediterranean gardens, offers daily changing menus using locally-sourced produce whenever possible. This, once dark wood-panelled, room is now light and airy with a fantastic skylight feature.

Our aforementioned kitchen garden supplies as much quality fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs as possible, all grown using organic, "Slow Food” principles. We invite you to relax by one of our roaring log fires, and enjoy a Real Ale in our bar where dogs are most welcome.

Book your stay now! We look forward to seeing you.
