Welcome to The Ro Hotel!

We are a new kind of hotel in the heart of the most popular tourist destination of the Lakes, Bowness-on Windermere. But we are more than just a hotel, we are an all-day destination for tourists and locals, a place that you can go with friends for a coffee or lunch with the family after a trip to Beatrix Potter World. A place that is unexpected in its design but familiar in its northern service. Somewhere connected to the town, people, a hub or local culture and a showcase for its arts from yesterday, today and tomorrow.

The Lake District is our place. We love it here. The way strangers say hello to each other on their morning walks. The incredible landscape that takes your breath away, no matter if you are seeing it for the first time or the millionth.

From the art on our walls, to the food we serve and the events we host – we champion the best the Cumbria has to offer. It’s really important to us to protect the Lakes, so future generations can enjoy them as much as we do. So we make sure our operations are sustainable – no mini plastic toiletries here and that our impact on the local community is a positive one.
