We’re proud to work with lots of lovely local producers, whether its adding a local flavour to dishes in our restaurant, serving Cumbrian craft ale on our bar or using locally made toiletries in our bedrooms.

Yes, we are just off the motorway but once you’re in the hotel you’ll never know its there. The hotel lounge with roaring log fire is a great place to relax and you can’t beat the sweeping views over the Bretherdale fells at breakfast.

Even better, the hotel is set right in the middle of the north and south lakes, so you can easily go off exploring Keswick and Grasmere one day and Windermere and Ambleside the next. We’re also on the edge of The Yorkshire Dales, but if you want to stay closer to home why not explore the lesser known hills & villages on our doorstep - we provide details of local walks at reception.
